But JLC also makes exceptional watches, and this since 1928.
The Atmos clock is a classic. Generally discreet and elegant, it is usually found in private places, whether in a curio cabinet, on a nice desk, a chest of drawers, a bookshelf, above a fireplace or in private hotels.
The watchmakers of the Vallée de Joux had thought of using temperature variations to power this watch and to this day the system remains the same and is surprising for its inventiveness. Because the Atmos clock lives on the air of time: inside an airtight capsule, a mixture of gases stretches and contracts with each change in temperature. The mechanism is activated naturally, without human intervention. A difference of one degree is enough to keep it running for two days.
