*** Free UK and discounted overseas shipping have been applied to this listing. *** A very nice, good quality and genuine vintage Art Deco mantle clock manufactured in England by Smiths English Clocks Ltd and likely to date from the 1930s or 1940s.
This stylish clock has a wooden case with chrome trim and a silver-coloured chapter with Roman numerals. The dial is signed, “Smiths – 8 Day” and “Made in England” (indicating pre-1949 manufacture).
The original wind-up mechanical movement has been replaced with a new and reliable German-made quartz movement, powered by a single 1.5v AA battery (battery not included).
Height: 174mm (approx. 6.85 inches). Width of base: 178mm (approx. 7 inches).
Good used condition and in working order (a few minor cosmetic marks to the case).
