This camera does have a small amount of screen damage near the center but it doesn't impact the functionality of the camera, however, it may be distracting during use. An alternative to using the screen is switching to the electronic viewfinder. The camera's battery compartment does have extremely minor corrosion but not enough to impact functionality and not enough to worry about. The camera does come with a lens cap. The camera takes 4 AA batteries (not included). The camera takes an SD card to record the images (not included).
