It may still have some dirt and additional cleaning that needs to be done. Condition: Used vintage Civil Defense radiation instrument lot with notable cosmetic wear from age and storage. Meters show chips in yellow paint, surface rust on screws and hardware, oxidation and staining on the Lionel CD V-700 top panel around the PHONE jack and range knob, and grime on the Geiger probe and cable. Earphone has worn padding, dust, and oxidation on the plug; dosimeter charger and CD V-742 dosimeters exhibit scuffs, scratches, and finish loss. Manuals have yellowing, folds, and edge wear. Victoreen CDV-715 interior and battery compartment are clean with original schematic and calibration card present. The interior includes the battery tray for 1.5V D cells, an original schematic diagram, and a calibration card from the Department of Emergency Services Radiological Maintenance Shop dated June 1973, July 1975, April 1977, and May 1981. The Lionel Electronic Laboratories CD V-700 Model 6b (OCDM Item No. CD V-700, Serial No. 65465) features an analog meter marked in mR/hr and counts per minute, a range selector switch, PHONE jack, attached Geiger-Mueller probe with sliding shield, cable, and an Operational Check Source label on the side of the case. The Bendix dosimeter charger Model 906 (OCDM Item No. CD V-750 Model No. 5, Serial No. 24460) includes the charging contact with protective cap on chain, UP SCALE / DOWN SCALE control knob, and Civil Defense logo on the lid. Four Bendix CD V-742 pocket dosimeters with belt clips and matching yellow Civil Defense finish are also included.
