Metamec Mid Century Battery Power Sputnik Atomic Style Chrome / Wood Wall Clock – Model No 4631 made in 1978
Model No 4631 was produced in 1978, Metamec made two variants of this model in brass and chrome with wood grained flats at hour divisions, this is the chrome version.
This clock is in excellent condition for its age and has been fully checked and cleaned.
The clock has the original Kienzle quartz movement and is still running perfectly with an C type battery which keeps excellent time. The battery cover is missing for this clock however, the original Metamec Quartz sticker is still in place on the back which is quite rare.
This lovely unusual clock is finished with a chrome bezel with a decorative outer ring of brushed chrome and wood grained flats. This clock has black hour, minute and second hands and a brushed metal face. There is a small scratch to the glass face around the nine o’clock area, I have tried to show this in the pictures.
